Many companies underestimate the importance of digital accessibility, even though it is crucial for an inclusive digital presence. Complex websites and applications that are not accessible make access difficult for millions of users and jeopardize compliance with legal requirements such as the European Accessibility Act (EAA).
The EAA requires companies in the EU to make digital products and services accessible. Swiss companies are also required to do so if they offer products or services in the EU. E-commerce platforms, news websites, banks, tourism services, and telecommunications providers are particularly affected. Violations can lead to warnings and other mandatory measures.

- Information on compliance with WCAG 2.1 standards at Level AA – the internationally recognized minimum standard for digital accessibility
